Ways to Increase Energy and Stamina

In today’s busy life we have so much to do, going to work, working allegedly from 9 to 9, facing the daily challenges, spending time for family. All this drain away your energy and leave you exhausted and tired at the end of the day. You can’t run from these activities, but yes, you can do a lot to energize your body for the next day.

Here are some natural ways to increase energy that will not only give you a boost but also lighten the load from your brain.

Feel the sun

Exposure to Sun’s warm rays is said to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. When released, serotonin can boost your mood and helps you to keep calm. While too much exposure to sunlight can be harmful to your skin, the right amount of sunlight stimulates Vitamin D production which fights against fatigue. In short, spending some time outdoors will make you feel more alive.

Eat between your meals

Many of us believe that eating between meals can raise our calorie intake and hence confine with two to three meals a day. But the fact is the less frequently you eat, the more you will eat. Taking large three meals instead of more small meals can upset your internal functions in long term as it raises the insulin production. While having more small meals keep blood sugar level up and makes you feel energetic throughout the day.

Though eating between meals is something good for us, but it does not mean now you are free to have your favorite chocolates, sweets and pizza snacks. The benefits it provide definitely depends upon what are we eating. An ideal snack would be some fresh fruits with a handful of nuts and seeds. With this, you will get benefits of both carbohydrates as well as protein.

Get proper sleep

Everybody knows that sleep is vital for us and improper sleep will impact our health. But the point is, for how long do we sleep and what is the quality of that sleep. Experts say, at least seven to eight hours of sleep is essential for the body and that too should be of high-quality. It simply means your sleep should not be interrupted by external factors. It’s not the hours that matter; it’s the quality of sleep that matters. Every day, brain is loaded with whole day’s activity. At night it is the sleep only that unloads and freshen it. Lack of sleep results in poor concentration, stress, irritation, and weakens immunity.

Boost Iron in your diet

Do you feel exhausted all the time?
Though physically fit, climbing up stairs seems a challenge to you?
If so, your diet may be iron deficient, especially if you are a woman.
Iron is necessary for the energy that body gets from glucose. It is an essential component of hemoglobin and mainly found in the Red Blood Cells. Your body needs Iron to get a hold on oxygen in your blood so that it is transported to your tissues properly. Hence, include Iron rich foods in your diet such as eggs, chicken, red meat, green veggies, wholegrain bread, legumes, nuts etc.
No wonder, you will feel energetic.

Regular Exercise

You might be thinking of how can I energize my body through exercise if I feel exhausted and tired all the time? But this is true. Regular exercise can really help you feel more energetic. This is how it works.
When you do workout, your heart pumps more oxygen. The more oxygen it pumps, the more nutrients the blood stream will carry and the more energetic you will feel. That’s why those who do regular exercise always remain active and energetic.

Be hydrated

Everybody knows how important water is for us. Let’s not go to deep on its significances. Here my point is, can drinking water really makes you feel energetic?
The answer would be Yes and No both.

The answer would be No because water is a natural drink with zero calories. And your body release energy by converting calories into ATP. But what about those long hours when you do not drink water. Don’t you feel exhausted? At that time the fall in energy level says itself that yes our body needs water for energy. I think the point is clear to you now.

Energy is the basic need of a human body. Low energy levels not only affect you physically but mentally also. “Eat well and stay well”, this phrase is complete answer to all the questions related to low energy. Natural ways toincrease energy are always safe and convenient. Rather than looking for chemical supplements, go natural.

Nature always gives but never take it back from you so as natural things.
So, say yes to nature!!!
